About: Graphic Design
I am currently employed as a Design and Sales Coordinator for Michton Ltd (Bite Promotions). My role involves, among other things, managing a design team and proofing their work, whilst liaising with our many promotional industry clients to work out their design briefs and overseeing their production process. Other parts of the role include managing our in house state of the art print facilities, coordinating our weekly mail chimp flyers, working with other parts of the business to create design work and adhering to their respective brand guidelines. I was fortunate enough to be promoted to this role after joining the company as a junior designer.
I graduated from University of Wales Trinity St David in Swansea with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Graphic Design several years ago. In addition to my degree, I also took a supplementary 6 week course on web design and a week long post-uni marketing course called Race to Market to further build on my design skills.
In order to begin my career and gain experience I also took part in a week long internship with a Swansea design agency Waters Creative where I gained valuable industry experience. I was also lucky enough to be invited back for a second week of this internship.
I began advertising myself for freelance graphic design services in my third year of university which has allowed me to build up a good portfolio of experience and client testimonials since.

My name is Lewes Phillips and I was born and raised in Merthyr Tydfil, in the South Wales valleys - just north of Cardiff and just south of the Brecon Beacons national park. I have always had a keen interest in art and music and after doing Art and Design at A Level I decided to further this interest into a degree in Graphic Design. I decided to study and live at UWTSD Swansea and this seaside city fast became my favourite place.
