Swansea Typography

The Brief

Go to an allocated area of Swansea and explore the typography found in the urban environment. Use this to create a typographical piece to be published in a collective book 'Swansea Loves Letters'

The Outcome

My assigned area was the quadrant shopping centre. I went and photographed certain areas that were instantly recognisable to anyone who knew the area. Rather than look for obvious typographical forms, I illustrated the images I took and used the shapes to create type. I was especially please with the outcome and this was the first time my design work had been featured in a published work. It was also a great chance to show off my skills in electronic illustration.
